A legal battle is about to unfold between the venerable metropolis of Los Angeles and the mighty, soon-to-be-merged Time Warner Cable.

According to the L.A. City Attorney, TWC has consistently failed to pay for its usage of the public right of way, among other things. TWC maintains that, considering its status as a major job-creating economic actor, all this legal action is oh so unnecessary.
